Mike Parsons, geboren und aufgewachsen in Atlanta, Georgia, verbrachte in seiner Jugend viel Zeit mit Zeichnen und Malen. Im Alter von 24, hatte Mike bereits eine Handvoll von Tätowierungen gemacht. Besonders in einem Studio, dem Monkey Man's Club Tattoo, hat man seine Begabung erkannt. Gerade verließ Deano Koch das Studio und Monkey Man machte Mike das Angebot, bei ihm in die Lehre zu gehen. Über anderthalb Jahre lernte Mike dort sein Handwerk bevor er sich mit Deano zusammen getan hat, der gerade sein eigenes Studio - das Psycho Tattoo - geöffnet hatte. Vertraut mit Mikes Arbeiten machte Deano Platz für ihn frei. In den nächsten zwei Jahren wurde Psycho Tattoo erweitert und eröffnete bald ein zweites Studio mit Mike als Manager. Durch Veröffentlichungen in Zeitschriften und Auftritte auf den Conventions wuchs zugleich das Renommee von Mike Parsons. 2003 verließ er seine Heimatstadt, um für Gill Monte in Texas zu arbeiten, wo er auch das Tätowieren aus einer neuen Perspektive erfahren und lebende Legenden der Tattooszene kennen lernen sollte. Eine solche Legende war Gills Mentor – Doc Dog. Doc und Mike verstanden sich auf Anhieb und so war es beinahe selbstverständlich, dass Mike später nach Tampa in Florida zog, wo er in Doc’s Las Vegas Tattoo Studio arbeitete. Nach fünf Jahren der Zusammenarbeit mit Doc, ist Mike zurzeit im Begriff sein erstes eigenes Studio aufzumachen.
