Why did you start tattooing?
I always admired the art, got tattooed myself, a design I drew, tattooed by Paul Braniff who liked my artwork and offered me an apprenticeship.
Whats your favorite style? Why?
I like a number of styles. Blackwork, color, freehand. I like Sci-Fi Horror and fantasy themed work. Traditional Japanese. But dislike Tribal!
Who is your favorite artist?
I have a lot.
Which artists influenced you? How?
Paul Braniff influenced me the most helping to convert my artwork into tattoo. Horror and comic artists also had a big influence.
What was your best tattoo-experience?
Probably winning my first tattoo show trophy. I was still only an apprentice and did not expect to rank amongst my piers and mentors.
What was your strangest tattoo-experience?
Stopping work in the middle of a tattoo, along with fellow work mates and customers to chase a thief through the streets of Surfers Paradise for a good, half hour. We caught him!
Whats your most annoying tattoo-experience?
Cover ups! All cover ups and no play (in general) make Tony a pull boy.
Which design do you hate most? Why?
Tribal work gets a bit boring, and I'm fast growing sick of doing flame around people's wrists and armbands!
