Wenn es um 14:15 dunkel wird, der Himmel bleischwer über der Stadt hängt und die feuchte Kälte immer einen Weg findet, die Kleidung zu durchdringen, dann ist es Zeit für die Tattoo Convention in Berlin ein wenig Farbe in die vorweihnachtliche Zeit zu bringen.
Schon zum 14. Mal und dieses Jahr in einer neuen Location, der Arena in Treptow fand die Convention statt. Das ich den alten Veranstaltungsort besser fand, liegt eigentlich nur daran, das er für mich zu Fuß erreichbar ist, während die Arena doch einige Fahrerei erfordert. Angenehm ist in der neuen Halle auf jeden Fall die Großzügigkeit des Ganzen, viel Platz und damit auch atembare Luft.
15,- € Eintritt an der Kasse sind ganz schön heftig, aber wenn man dann erstmal in der Halle steht und das Surren der Maschinen hört, vergißt man dies. Allerdings nur solange, bis ein Besuch am Biertresen ansteht. Zum Glück ist die Convention nicht unbedingt der Ort für familiäre Ausflüge, sie würden eine Kreditaufnahme bei der Bank erfordern.
Das Line up war, wie gewohnt, prächtig: die üblichen Verdächtigen: Paul Booth, Claus Fuhrmann, Tin Tin, Heidi Hay, Sabine Gafron und viele andere waren versammelt und durch traditionell arbeitende Artisten aus Polynesien, Neuseeland, Japan und Hawai ergänzt.
Sehr angenehm auch, vor allem wenn man doch erst hunderte von albernen Stripshows gesehen hat, war die musikalische Untermalung durch die Leu´s Family Iron Band, die einen netten chilligen Sound produzierten. So formten die Stände der einzelnen Tätowierer in der Mitte einen Bereich, der ein wenig ruhiger war, während sich die Verkaufs- und Fressgelegenheiten drum herum präsentierten. Der Umzug hat sich also gelohnt.
Ein großer Supplyer-Bereich, der mir allerdings nicht komplett gefüllt schien, ergänzte die Veranstaltung. Leider gab es bei meiner Digicam, dem Miststück, schon nach wenigen Minuten einen Totalausfall, ich versuche noch anderweitig an Bilder der Veranstaltung zu kommen.
Insgesamt eine gute Convention mit einem hervorragenden Angebot an Tattookunst, auch der Wechsel in die Arena war eine richtige Entscheidung, nur das drumherum läßt Raum für Verbesserungen. Und so heißt es denn: bis zum nächsten Jahr, wenn es wieder kalt, grau und ungemütlich wird.

Already the 14. Times in this year, the Convention took place in a new location, the Arena in Treptow. That I found the old place of event better than the new one, is actually for me because of the walking distance, while it takes a certain a mount of time to reach the arena. In any case, pleasant in the new resound is the generosity, much place and concomitantly breathable air.
15,- € entrance at the cash are completely violent, but if you stand in the resound and hear the buzzing of the machines, you forget it. However only until an visit at the Beerbar. Fortunately the Convention is not necessarily the place for family trips, a raising of a credit at the bank would require.
The line up was, as usually, magnificently: the usual suspects: Paul Booth, Claus wagoner, Tin Tin, Heidi Hay, Sabine Gafron and many others were met and were completet by traditionally working kindists from Polynesien, New Zealand, Japan and Hawai.
Also very pleasantly, above all if you have seen hundreds of ridiculous Stripshows, was the backgroundmusic by the Leu's Family Iron volume, which produced a nice chilled sound. Thus the conditions of the individual Tatooartists in the center formed a range, which was a little calmer, while the sales and culinary mile presented themselves around. The removal was worth it.
A large Supplyer range, which seemed not completely filled to me, supplemented the meeting. Unfortunately there was a total failure, me with my Digicam, the piece of muck, already after few minutes. I try to get some pictures of the meeting otherwise.
Altogether a good Convention with a outstanding offer of Tattoo art, also the change to the arena was a correct decision, only the things around leaves area for improvements. And in such a way it means: up to the next year, if it becomes again coldly, grey and uncomfortable.
